Real Healthcare

Real healthcare is an inside job. Up to now, it has been thought of as something that you look for outside yourself.

Brave Thinkers

Health has been snatched back; people are now taking charge of their own health. We have been operating in a gray area, not in black and white. The standard American care has somehow failed, and now it must be returned to its right full owners, the public.

There is a forward thinking group that is not ready to accept the status quo of our healthcare system. We have built healthcare directives based on the flimsiest of scientific studies.

Now we have powerful and passionate people that are saying that western medicine got it wrong. These brave thinkers are shaping our future.

 The Challenge

The challenge is how we manage this new information. The conundrum is that the new views are diverse. Up to now medicine has given us a false sense of security.

We accepted the dogma without much solid evidence. The medical orthodoxy will argue to protect the status quo. Here is an example in 1989, only 15% of people over the age of 65 in the U.S. and Canada had taken a flu shot. Today, more than 65% get the flu shot. Yet, mortality among the elderly has increased rather than decreased.

In 2004 vaccines production failed causing a 40% drop in available vaccines. Yet, mortality rates did not go up. Also in 1968 and 1997 the vaccine produced was different than the flu that circulated. This means that nobody was vaccinated and again mortality from all causes held constant.

How do we get away from dogmatic medical proclamations? What the misleading information has done is create panic. When this happens no one can see clearly.

Keeping it Simple

Healthy people will remain healthy. The driving force of healthcare is illness driven. Prevention is personal responsibility. With the growing awareness that health is not chaotic, it consists of smoking cessation, weight loss, activity, stress reduction, and optimism.

Now a group of forward thinking health advocates are not waiting for science to catch up. They are our ally in the quest for straightforward health information. They left in the dust all the antiquated views and made health easy to understand.

Visionaries

These are the people that are starting the hottest debates. When the right forces combine you have solutions. These people aren’t about choice of treatments; they want to reform health beyond therapy.

These are the people that will engage you and get you ready to take the next step. Doctors supposed purpose is to get you better, that’s the impression held by the majority of Americans. But this is a fanciful myth; the medical profession is there to help you manage your condition.

The doctor sees a distinct cluster of symptoms; a holistic healer sees a person out of balance and attributes the illness to this. He addresses the fact that you played a role, and will look at your lifestyle.

Wake Up Call

If ever in history there was a health care wake up call it is now. There are a variety of opinions on the best way to proceed. Americans should not get blind sided by the numerous opinions. The road to travel is the one that is the most effective for you as an individual.

All the holistic diets that may seem diverse have one thing in common they all reduce inflammation, and build a healthy immune system. There is an endless trickle of opinions, but we will show you the ones that have the ingredients for success.

Cancer Glucose Connection

Researchers from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) have discovered the cancer glucose connection.  Restricting consumption of glucose, the most common dietary sugar, can extend the life of healthy human-lung cells and speed the death of precancerous human-lung cells, reducing cancer’s spread and growth rate.

The UAB team conducted its tests by growing both healthy human-lung cells and precancerous human-lung cells in laboratory flasks. The flasks were provided either normal levels of glucose or significantly reduced amounts of the sugar compound, and the cells then were allowed to grow for a period of weeks.

“In that time, we were able to track the cells’ ability to divide while also monitoring the number of surviving cells. The pattern that was revealed to us showed that restricted glucose levels led the healthy cells to grow longer than is typical and caused the precancerous cells to die off in large numbers,” Tollefsbol said. Dr. Tollefsbol’s research is primarily with cancer and aging epigenetics, the underlying mechanisms of cancer, aging and therapeutic approaches to cancer.

Hello Anyone There

Sugar depresses the immune system.

We have known this for decades. Glucose and vitamin C have similar chemical structures, when the sugar level goes up vitamin C has to compete. The more glucose the less vitamin C allowed to enter the cell. This slows down the immune systems. Sugar depletes vitamin, minerals, and enzymes.

The reason not to wait for research, they are light years behind holistic practitioners. For years these holistic researches have been saying that sugar is the food of malignant tumors. While the medical community said it doesn’t matter what you eat.

A Theory

A German biochemist, Dr. Otto Warburg discovered the cause of cancer back in 1923 and he received the 1931 Nobel Prize for doing so. In his book, The Metabolism of Tumors, Dr. Warburg demonstrated that the primary cause of cancer was (is) the replacement of oxygen in the respiratory chemistry of normal cells by the fermentation of sugar. The growth of cancer cells is a fermentation process which can be initiated only in the relative absence of oxygen.

Up to now the medical profession disregarded this theory. It is the basis of many alternative treatments. This is a theory that completely disregarded by the medical profession. IV’s consists of glucose and is used quite often as a source of calories for those that suffer from this condition.

Medical Practice

Simply said doctors are not the best at understanding what health is. Our perverse system of medicine rewards this. Americans swallow more pills, undergo more scans, and summit to more procedures without any understanding of the risks when they submit to treatments.

The high costs of doctor visits, and tests is in what they miss; the cause of diseases. They look at family history to try to guess what you will likely come down with. What they really need is a list of the foods, drinks, and habits that were passed down through the generations. Finally, what is it that caused the problems. The cancer glucose connection is now being validated by scientific studies.

Carnage

Tollefsbol’s research team included Yuanyuan Li, Ph.D., M.D., a UAB biology research associate, and Liang Liu, Ph.D., a UAB assistant professor of medicine.

The group’s study titled “Glucose Restriction Can Extend Normal Cell Lifespan and Impair Precancerous Cell Growth Through Epigenetic Control of hTERT and p16 Expression” has been published in the online edition of The Journal of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology, or FASEB Journal.

The research was funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health and the Glenn Foundation for Medical Research

There is a very good reason that the war on cancer hasn’t produced the results that everyone expected. There is no quick fix, or magic bullet. It is fiction that you let someone bombard you with every known chemical, and expect super health.

Between the food industry and pharmaceutical companies we have become anesthetized to the carnage that these industries are causing. The main attraction to this approach, responsibility is in someone else’s hands, and a promise of instant help.

Eating Healthy

What I find amusing is that when people are trying to eat healthy they come up with every excuse possible on the planet not to.

The Responses

One of my favorite is I will have no social life. Another good one, the holidays are coming. Then it goes on to the fact that it is time consuming.

If you evaluate the excuses they are more creative then the ingredient lists for a healthy diet.

Different Shades of Healthy

There is no denying that there is diverse opinion as to what constitutes the healthiest diet. There is no one ideal diet, because we are all unique. We are starting a new way of eating at different stages of our life, with different health challenges

Our needs change throughout life, and to get real benefits what you eat has to benefit you.

Natural Products

This is real test of any diet. This is not a Sara Lee diet; it is a diverse set of ingredients that are increasingly more in tune with nature. Good diet solutions deal with individual needs. Just like no fingerprints are exactly the same so our needs differ.

As you adopt a natural food diet the whole transcript changes. Terms like organic, paleo, and plant food have the credentials to get up close with our lips.

Selling What You Really Need

Our market place has given rise to companies telling you what you need. You can see for yourself that this is agreeable to their bottom line. In fact it is clinically proven that the rise in processed food had been our downfall.

What you avoid is as important as what you buy. Consumer understanding is what has led to the successes of the food industry. They say they made food safer, cleaner, and nutritious. What they did is understand our psyche and marketed well.

I Don’t Think So

For years marketers and supplies have produced chemical specialties that end up in your stomach. As they research new formulations they do it with an attitude of what is next now. They have created excitement with new products that will expand your appetite. They have developed new products to enter the market that will create buzz. They are ambitiously rolling out convenience, hype, and addictive tastes that will fly off the store selves.

What Works

What distinguishes fresh products vs. developed ones is the fact that you cannot replace natural vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and phytonutrients with artificial substitutes. It is estimated that 85% of the food grown in the U.S. is mineral depleted due to pesticides and insecticides.

Organic only means that all the toxic man made chemicals are not used. Avoiding harm means that the consumer objectives have to be all together different from the companies that are manufacturing our food supply.

There is strong evidence that shows cellular damage from a diet made up with fabricated food.

You’re Choice

Eating healthy means different things to different people. The natural food advocates are as diverse as they come. They advocate the raw food diet, the green blended smoothies, the high protein diet, the fruitarian diet, and macrobiotic diet. Each of these groups differs among themselves. Every group has helped people overcome some serious health challenges.

They all are effective in many ways. All of them provide solutions by supplying micronutrients. Contrary to all the dogma there is no one source of nutrients. All these eating plans supply a solution to a man made diet.

Good eating is not over-complicated; the issue is to find the best one for us individually.

The Theory

There is a belief that genes are affected by our family tree. It shows that even though we are all connected, we all are different. This may explain why what makes one person able to manage their weight will not work for others.

Technological breakthroughs can now find the body’s message that clues science into our individual makeup. When we have this blueprint we can soar to new heights. There is a system that delivers this. It takes the best of a low grain diet, adds the right plant based foods, while including the optimal source of protein for us. This is the Metabolic Balance way to health.

For me, I needed something more than either a vegetarian, raw food, fruitarian, or high protein diet. Having done them all for a substantial amount of time, I needed a system that I knew would deliver. Every way of eating naturally offers something, but all are generic versions of someone else’s way of eating. What is needed is an individual foundation to build your own healthy lifestyle.

The expression of your genes is dependent on your environment. By adapting a healthy lifestyle you can take charge of your health and weight. This is the best health insurance.
