Diabetes Campaign

I have been studying natural healing modalities for the last 25 years. In that time I have had the privilege of working with some of the greatest minds in Natural Healing including Naturopaths, Scientists, and Energy Healers. I have seen people miraculously heal from all kinds of dis-ease thru non-invasive methods. Personally, I have experienced all kinds of diets from Macrobiotics to Raw Foods. Now is a very important time to start sharing this health information with as many people as possible, so people can make well informed decisions about their health and not fall victim to a sickcare system based on profit, rather than one of supporting wholeness, compassion and love

The diabetes campaign got it all wrong. It is backwards, the message is get checked for diabetes. Diabetes should be a priority for everyone. Their message,  1 in 5 people survives heart disease. Early diagnosis and good management can lower your risk of a cardiovascular event. Even if you don’t have diabetes, this action plan can help you reduce your risk of heart disease. However, to be on the safe side keep checking for it. The message is be on the lookout for this killer disease. When you make health your priority, you are not concentrating on making a commitment to diabetes

The to do list for people with diabetes are to lose weigh, be active, and take prescribed medications, for all your conditions. This means diabetes, blood pressure, and cholesterol. Their message, successfully managing all the aspects of diabetes can’t be done alone. Patients typically take six or seven medications a day to stay healthy. They test their blood three or four times daily to check glucose levels. Most have regular visits to specialists in diabetes care, eye care, and foot care and get nutritional counseling.

The sponsors of these campaigns are (you guessed it) the pharmaceutical companies. They are going to give you the inspiration you need, by showing you people who are thriving with the illness. I am personally inspired by those who are living healthy lives.

No one expects a cure soon to this very complex condition. All I can say is God help us if this is the thinking that goes into managing our health. There is no rocket science needed here, just some common sense. Stop teaching patients how to live with something, they can heal. The doctors and researches think that the problem is with the way the individuals body handles food. The person has nothing to do with this condition its magic. How did the numbers of diabetics explode? I guess no one’s body can handle food. Hello, we are not eating anything that really resembles food. That can be the problem, the body can’t handle the fuel it’s given.

Patients in diabetes classes also walk away with advice such as, which company has the best glucose monitoring device. This is what you should want from your healthcare provider how to monitor your condition. What about some real wellness information. They even have a World Diabetes Day, get out the fireworks. Well it is time to do something about it, we mean the medical profession. Get out of the rut and try something different.

Diabetes is a consequence of our daily habits from the food we eat, how we exercise, to how much sleep we get. Obesity is a sign of the times. Processed foods, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, and additives should be suspect. This is the trend that is leading to our growing epidemic of diabetes, cancer, auto-immune disorders, and cardiovascular disease. Data from the World Health Organization indicate that more than 1 billion adults are overweight and 300 million are clinically obese. There are at the very minimum 155 million school-age children over weight and obese.

This will be the face of tomorrow with more cases of all types of health conditions looming on the horizon. These campaigns raise millions for these organizations; and help people live with this condition. The “Control Your Diabetes, For Life” sounds like the wrong message. Almost 21 million Americans have diabetes. What a windfall for the Pharmaceutical companies. The diabetes campaign is another attempt at curtailing a condition that is brought on by the standard American diet.
